Behind the Scenes at the Coastline Bank 2025 Port Macquarie Business Awards: How Gem Socials Won Big (and Made the Night Shine Online)

When the Port Macquarie Business Awards rolled around this year, we weren’t just there to cheer on local legends; we were also part of the action, both behind the scenes and on the big stage!

Gem Socials was proud to manage the live social media coverage for the event, capturing all the energy, excitement, and inspiring moments as they happened. From backstage interviews with winners to in-the-moment stories and reels, our team worked fast to bring the awards night to life across Facebook and Instagram. We handled everything from filming content, editing on the fly, adding subtitles, and posting within minutes - ensuring every winner had their moment in the spotlight.

But the biggest surprise of the night? When we were called up as winners! Our team was absolutely shocked (in the best way possible!) to hear Gem Socials announced as the winner of the Professional & Business Services (5 or fewer employees) category. The moment was surreal - Emma literally ran up to the stage in her Lifeline-sourced Puma sneakers, while the rest of the team was behind the cameras, cheering her on.

It’s a full-circle moment we’ll never forget. Being part of the Business Awards community has always been important to us, but this year felt extra special. We were there to help tell everyone’s stories, and in doing so, we got to tell our own too.
