We’ve got some BIG news to share – Gem Socials has been named a finalist for Best Regional/Rural Business at the 2025 ROAR Awards! 🎉
This recognition means the world to us because regional businesses have a special place in our hearts. I (Emma) know this journey well – after starting my career in the fast-paced ad agency world of Surry Hills, I now call Port Macquarie home, where I’m growing a business that’s all about helping local legends thrive.
The difference between city and regional business is something I understand deeply – in the city, there’s often a rush, a hustle culture, and a bigger pool of opportunities, but it can also feel competitive and disconnected. In the regions, it’s a different story. Business here is built on genuine relationships, community spirit, and showing up for each other. There’s a real sense of connection – and that’s what makes it so special.
At Gem Socials, we truly believe regional areas are the heartbeat of Australia. Social media has such incredible power to bridge the gap – helping small businesses in rural and regional areas share their stories, connect with their communities, and thrive.
